new work at LE

I am very pleased to be a part of Barometric Reading Series 1, the inaugural exhibition of LE Gallery's curatorial branch Young Canada, as well as my first group show as a LE artist. I will be showing three new drawings from the series The Whaleship Was My Harvard and My Yale, alongside works from Katie Pretti, Kristi Malakoff, Sarah Clifford-Rashotte and Melanie Authier.

The opening is this Friday, July 10 from 7-10pm, while the show runs July 8th to August 2nd.

dear blog, i know that i have been neglecting you, so here are a few new drawings. i plan on having them completed by october for my next show, but just wanted to give you a little something to let you know that i still think about you.

three weeks in

i've been in brooklyn for three weeks and the place really hasn't changed my work except for the fact that i now draw terrifying skeletons...or rather one otherwise known as the six legged calf.

i just found out that ill be spending the first three months of the new year in venice doing an internship at the peggy guggenheim museum. if you could not tell by the expression on my face in the photo, of what i think i will look like in venice, im really very excited. i hope that this means the beginning of colour in my work - but no promises.
