dear blog, i know that i have been neglecting you, so here are a few new drawings. i plan on having them completed by october for my next show, but just wanted to give you a little something to let you know that i still think about you.

three weeks in

i've been in brooklyn for three weeks and the place really hasn't changed my work except for the fact that i now draw terrifying skeletons...or rather one otherwise known as the six legged calf.

i just found out that ill be spending the first three months of the new year in venice doing an internship at the peggy guggenheim museum. if you could not tell by the expression on my face in the photo, of what i think i will look like in venice, im really very excited. i hope that this means the beginning of colour in my work - but no promises.

a painterly approach to drawing

these are two sketches that i have been working on recently and that am looking forward to getting back to. i am trying to determine the range of tone that i want...basically whether or not i need a black.

new new new

i spent this weekend in new york visiting my friend nick who was showing as part of 'on the road of knives' with zak smith and shawn cheng. these are basically the only two pictures that i took as we were busy watching ufc clips on youtube. this one was added if only to make him look taller.
im Really excited about his new work and the potential to spend some time in the city working as well. nick was an excellent host, save for his misleading retelling of my border crossing nightmare.
